Meet Colin Corn-pernick?

The annual corn maze at Patterson's Fantozzi Farms will feature the likeness of San Francisco 49ers quarterback and Pitman High School graduate Colin Kaepernick this year.

The tribute to Kap will benefit his chosen charity, Camp Taylor. One dollar of each ticket sold will go directly to Camp Taylor, which offers programs for children with heart disease and their families.

The maze will cover 25 acres, with five miles of paths. Fantozzi Farms will also have corn cannons, cow train rides, pig races, and hay bale pyramids.

The Fantozzi Farms Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is located at 2665 Sperry Ave., Patterson. The maze will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays, from Sept. 28 to Oct. 31. Tickets to the corn maze are $9 for adults, $7 for children age 5-12, and free for children 4 and under.

I'm cornfused! What about promoting the corn maze we have in Turlock? This isn't even in Turlock. I love Colin but what's going on with our corn maze?

Just to be clear - we'll be covering Turlock's local R.A.M. Farms corn maze, located on Daubenberger Road, as well. This article was just to let TurlockCityNews.com readers know about an out-of-the area corn maze that's honoring Turlock's hometown hero.

The most recent article we wrote about R.A.M. Farms' corn maze noted that it will host an ice skating rink this winter. Please see: http://www.turlockcitynews.com/news/item/1002-turlock-ice-skating-rink-earns-final-approval

Hey everyone when is the bronze statue of Kaepernick going to be erected in Turlock? I think we should start a fund raiser to get our home town hero immortalized. Watch out George Lucas and Modesto, Turlock is going to be on the map now.
