The Turlock Unified School District Board of Trustees approved the Wireless/Fiber proposal through a unanimous vote on Tuesday evening. The approval allows the project to begin the design phase, create timetables, and develop Request for Proposals for Board approval. The January 2014 audit results/recommendations report presented options such as upgrades to the Wide Area Network to allow for future 10 Gb/s connectivity, an upgrade to switches with “Power over Ethernet” capability, an increase to 1 Gb/s in internet connectivity, an upgrade to fiber connections and ethernet cabling connections, and the addition of a centrally-managed wireless network.
The Turlock Unified School District Board of Trustees will be holding a meeting to discuss the approval of the Technology Network Upgrade Project, various donations to school activities and the TUSD farm, out-of-state trips, and adopt a resolution to support Red Ribbon Week. At 6 p.m., opening business will begin with the public meeting being called to order. Afterward, the Board will have convene in a closed session until 6:30 p.m.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had not thrown an interception in five straight starts, until last Sunday’s 47-7 loss against the Arizona Cardinals, in Glendale, Ariz. Kaepernick threw four interceptions, a career-worst, and the Cardinals capitalized on this. Kaepernick had a streak of 141 consecutive passing attempts. That ended when his first pass didn’t end up in the hands his receiver, but rather was caught by the Cardinals’ defensive back Justin Bethel. Minutes later, he threw another interception that was returned for a touchdown.
