Turlock Little League All-Star Update 07/11/10
The Championship tournament undefeated Turlock American All-Star 12's lost on Saturday against River Park 14-6. Turlock was leading 6-2 in the 4th inning but then the game took a turn for the worst when River Park took the lead and secured the win in the 6th inning.
Because Turlock was undefeated and River Park had lost before, River Park had to beat Turlock twice to win the District 10 Championship.
On Sunday Turlock played River Park again and lost again, 19-7. Turlock American 12's are now out of the Little League Championship tournament.
Turlock American All-Star 11's played for the Championship on Sunday against River Park. Turlock American 11's were undefeated just as the Turlock American 12's were. The game was good and close. After 6 innings, Turlock was tied with River Park at 6-6. In extra innings, Turlock lost a tough game 8-6.
Turlock American 11's must be defeated twice by River Park before they lose the District 10 Championships.
Turlock plays River Park for the Championship on Monday, 7/12, at 7pm in Madera. Winner takes the Championship, loser goes home.
Turlock Little League All-Star Update 07/09/10
After the Turlock American All-Star 11 year old team won 6-5 over Los Banos National on Thursday night at Julien, two Turlock All-Star teams made it to the District 10 Championship; both the Turlock American 11’s and 12 year old teams are 4-0 in the District 10 tournament and will be playing for Championship this weekend.
District 10 is split up into 2 sections and this weekend the two Turlock All-Star teams will be playing for the Championship and hoping to continue in the Little League Championship Series by going to the Regional tournament.
Turlock American 12’s are playing against River Park in Madera on Saturday,7/10, at 10am. Because of Turlock’s 4-0 record, River Park will have to beat Turlock twice to stop Turlock from being the champions of District 10.
Turlock American 11’s will be playing against River Park in Madera on Sunday, 7/11 at 10am. The Turlock American All-Star 11’s are also 4-0 and their opponent will have to beat Turlock twice to top Turlock for the District 10 Championship.
Turlock Little League All-Star Update 07/07/10
The Turlock American All-Star 12 year old team Beat Madera National 10-2 on Wednesday, July 7th. The Turlock American All-Star 12’s are 4-0 and won their half of District 10. Turlock American 12's will be playing on Saturday, 7/10 at 10am (Location TBA).
The Turlock American All-Star 11’s are 3-0 in the District 10 Championship tournament. They play next on Thursday night, 7/8 at Julien at 7pm for the Championship of their half of the section in District 10. Their opponent must beat them twice to knock Turlock out of the tournament.
All the other Turlock Little League 10, 11, and 12 year old teams are out of the District 10 Championship tournament.
Turlock Little League All-Star Update 07/06/10
The Turlock National All-Star 11 year old team Beat Chowchilla 8-5 on Monday, July 5th. The Turlock National All-Star 11’s are 1-1.
Turlock American All-Star 11 year olds beat Madera National 7-4 in seven innings (extra innings) at Julien Field on Tuesday night. The Turlock American All-Star 11’s are 3-0 in the District 10 Championship tournament. They play next on Thursday night, 7/8 (location TBA), for the Championship of their half of the section in District 10 and their opponent must beat them twice to defeat Turlock.
The Turlock National All-Star 12 year old team played Madera National at Soderquist Park on Tuesday night and lost to Madera 20-7 in six innings. The National 12’s are out of the District 10 Championship tournament.
Turlock American 12’s (3-0) will now be playing Madera National for the Championship of their half of the section in District 10 at Julien on Wednesday 7/7. Madera National must beat Turlock American twice to defeat Turlock.
The Turlock Juniors National and American are Turlock teams made up of 13-14 year olds and complete in the district with only three teams, Chowchilla being the only non Turlock team.
The Junior District 10 All-Stars played their first game at Pedretti Park on Monday night. Turlock American played Turlock National. National won with a score of 14 to 4 in 6 innings. American's Chris Waldon was 2 for 2 with a RBI, and scored twice. Nate Mirza was 2 for 3. National's Geraldo Trujillo was 3 for 5, scored twice, Justin Bradley was 2 for 2 with 2 RBI's and scored 3 times, Rafeal Herrera was 2 for 4, 1 RBI, and scored once.
The Turlock Seniors National and American teams are made up of 15-16 year olds are the only two teams in District 10. Turlock National plays Turlock American at Pedretti Park on Wednesday, 7/7.
Turlock Little League All Star Update 07 01 10
Turlock American 11’s beat Chowchilla 15-3 after only 4 innings due to the “mercy rule” of leading by 10 runs by the 5th inning. The Turlock American 11’s are now 2-0 in the District 10 Championship tournament. Their next game is Tuesday, 7/6 at Julien or Sodequist Field (TBA).
The Turlock American 12’s won their game against Madera 14-4 in 5 innings due to the “mercy rule.” The Turlock American 12’s are now 3-0 in the District 10 tournament and must be defeated twice in a row to lose their half of the section of District 10. Their next game will be on Wednesday, 7/7 (location to TBA).
Turlock Little League All Star Update 06 29 10
The Turlock American All-Star 10 year olds lost another tough game on Tuesday night as they were leading Los Banos American 4-0 at one point in the game but ended up losing 4-5. The American 10’s are now 1-2 in the California District 10 Championship Series.
The Turlock National All-Star 12 year olds beat Los Banos National 14 to 6. Zack Wichman and Jordan Aguiniga both hit home runs Tuesday night at Soderquist Park. The National 12’s are now 2-1 in the District 10 series and their next game is on Thursday, 7/5.
The Turlock American 10 year old lost a tough one to Atwater Sunday morning, and will be playing Los Banos American on 6/29. The American 10’s are 1-1 in the California District 10 Championship Series.
The Turlock National All-Star 10 year old squad are 2-0 as they beat Madera National 15-4 to move one more leg up the bracket to the California District 10 Championship, where the 10 year olds end at.
The Turlock National All-Star 10 year olds are playing at Soderquist Field in Turlock on 7/01 against Atwater at 7pm.
The Turlock American All-Star 11 year olds played their first game on Monday night and beat Los Banos 5-2 at Julien Field in Turlock.
The 11’s now travel to Chowchilla on 6/30 for a 6pm game with a record of 1-0
The Turlock National All-Star 11 year olds played their first game on Monday night in Los Banos and lost 11-5. Losing their first game, the National 11’s will play the loser of the Wednesday Turlock American vs. Chowchilla on Monday, 07/05.
The Turlock American All-Star 12 year olds are 2-0 and play Madera on Thursday, 7/1.
If they win on Thursday, an opposing team would have to beat them twice in a row to win the California District 10 Championship.
The Turlock National All-Star 12 year old team is 1-1 so far and is playing tonight against Los Banos National at Soderquist Field at 7pm.

The Turlock Little League Major’s All-Star teams have been put together, announced, and the American League players were taking team pictures at Pedretti Park before Turlock gets ready to play their first games this weekend.
For the American League, coaches picked players from their teams who they thought could compete on the all-star level. The nominated players for each age group (10, 11, and 12 year olds) were then voted on by all the managers and the top 13 players for each age group would make up the all-star teams.
On the National League side, players from each age group voted the first 4 players of each all-star team on to the roster and then the managers from all the teams chose the rest of the 9 players that make up the 13 player roster.
The Turlock Major’s All-Stars play their first games in Chowchilla when the 10’s and 12’s play on Saturday at 10am.
The Turlock All-Star teams compete against other all-star teams in the region and try to win their way to the Little League World Series held in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Out of about 109 players in the Turlock American Major League and 108 players in the Turlock National Major League, the Turlock All-Stars rosters are as follows.
Gunnin’ for Turlock! Hosted by Code of the West Productions of California, the Turlock Gun Show will be returning to the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds with over 150 tables and 50 vendors. “We have more than 50 vendors and over 150 tables. Most of the product displayed for purchase will include firearms (long guns and handguns), ammunition, knives, stun guns, pepper spray, shooting range/hunting related supplies (range bags, gun cases, gun safes, ammo cans, etc..). We even have a beef jerky vendor!” exclaimed Code of the West Promoter Jason Smith.
Turlock firefighters are working to put out a fire being reported at the former Almond Tree Restaurant & Lounge building. At approximately 10:55 a.m., the Turlock Fire Department received a call of a structure fire at 2243 Lander Avenue.
City of Turlock police and firefighters have blocked off C Street between Lander Avenue and 6th Street after a tree caused a transformer to blow out. Power outages are being reported. Impacts to the immediate area include power outages to local businesses near La Perla Tapatia and Ranch Burger. La Perla Tapatia is currently not in service.
