NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
FOR THE PREFERRED SITE OF THE
NEW PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY
A PUBLIC MEETING WILL BE HELD ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2008, AT 6:00 P.M TO DISCUSS THE PREFERRED SITE OF THE NEW PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY AND THE CONCEPTUAL PLAN OF THE FACILITY.
The Meeting will be held at the City of Turlock, Yosemite Community Room, Second Floor

PREFERRED SITE LOCATION OF THE NEW PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITY
The preferred project site is located at 201 West Olive (APN 61-11-54), 221 West Olive (APN 61-15-18) & 289 West Olive (APN 61-15-19), 226 North Broadway (APN 61-11-57) & 210 North Broadway (APN 61-11-58) and 216 Florence (APN 61-15-63), 230 Florence (APN 61-15-15), 244 Florence (APN 61-15-14), 260 Florence (APN 61-15-13) & 276 Florence (APN 61-15-12):
The project is the design and construction of a new Public Safety Facility. The new Public Safety Facility will be located at the property commonly referred to as North Broadway and Olive Avenue.
The facility will consist of a two-story building, approximately 57,000 to 60,000 square feet, with adequate public and employee parking. It will provide operational and administrative space for the following functions: Field Operations, Special Operations, Support Operations, 911 Communications, Records, Fire Administration, Property and Evidence, Emergency Operations Center (EOC), short term custody of prisoners, and a community meeting space.
The preferred site location of the proposed new Public Safety Facility is adjacent to the Carnegie Center, fronting Broadway Street. A shared main entry plaza provides an exterior public arrival space for both the community and Public Safety Facility, as well as, Carnegie Center patrons. Shared parking is provided for use by the public safety and Carnegie Center.
The total cost of the new facility is projected at $35 million, which includes design, construction, parking and furnishings.
