Turlock Downtown will once again transform Main St. Turlock into an evening of dazzling lights, entertainment, shopping, and fun for the entire family known as the Festival of Lights.
The Festival of Lights is an event centered around the lighting of the Central Park Christmas tree on the Friday after Thanksgiving.
This year’s 10th Annual Turlock Downtown Festival of Lights will take place on November 28, 2008 from 4pm – 9pm.
The 2008 Festival of Lights will include the first lighting of our new Central Park Christmas Tree. The old 80-85 year old deodar cedar tree was taken out this year due to disease, age, and safety hazard risks. A new 28 foot tall deodar cedar tree was planted last week thanks to fifty $100 donors. A donor recognition plaque will be placed under the tree and unveiled before the lighting of the tree.
The Christmas tree lighting countdown will be at 6:45pm to 7:00pm sharp at the Golden State Blvd + Main St. corner of Central Park.
Carriage rides, pictures with Santa, special shopping opportunities, entertainment, and fun for the entire family will be going on throughout the special night.
