Turlock — (Jan. 23, 2009) California State University, Stanislaus will host the 13th Annual “Transition from Student to Teacher Conference” for new and prospective teachers on Saturday, March 14, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The participation fee is $25 and the registration deadline is Monday, March 2. The focus of the conference is on “real issues” that confront and affect new teaching professionals, such as school district expectations, effective classroom management, and “personalities in the classroom.” New teachers, teaching interns, paraprofessionals, and teachers who have not received their clear credentials will benefit from the informative program featuring a series of workshops. CSU Stanislaus faculty, teaching experts, and motivational speakers will make presentations.
