Turlock Police Officers responded to a call of Possession of a Weapon on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at about 1:30am.

Security at Wellington Station stopped a subject trying to enter when they felt something that might be a weapon in his pocket. The subject left before the police arrived and they were UTL. The subject came back a short time later and security called the police.

Officers found the subject leaving in a vehicle with others. A vehicle stop was made and all the occupants were detained. One subject was on parole and another on searchable probation. A vehicle search revealed a stolen Glock pistol and some ammunition. David Castro, 26 years, went to jail for the gun and Jose Saucedo, 27 years, went to jail for violating terms of his parole.

Turlock Police Officers responded to a call of a Shooting on the 500 block of W. Minnesota Ave at around 2:19am on Sunday, February 1, 2009.

The original call came in as a pending fight in the middle of the street, with a caller saying they heard gunshots and a female was possibly shot. Turlock Police could not locate her initially, but eventually she was found, unharmed. She did witness the shooting and it turns out that a male subject in the middle of the street shot at a passing car. The victim vehicle was described as a burgundy sedan, possibly a Honda, and the rear window was shot out. The car was not located.

Anyone that may have information concerning this investigation may call the Turlock Police Department 209-668-5550 or Crime Stoppers at 521-4636.

All Crime Stoppers tips are anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
