A memorial service for Donald Millsap, 76, will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 North Soderquist Rd. Interment will be private at Chapel of the Memories Mausoleum at Turlock Memorial Park.
He born to Paul and Mollie Millsap on Sept. 19, 1932, in the town of Leasburg, Mo. He passed away Monday at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House after a one year battle with cancer.
Don worked as a grocery clerk for Liberty Market on Geer Road in Turlock for 27 years. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of the VFW Post 5059 in Turlock. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey (Mickie) Millsap of Denair; children, Debbie (Tim) Caulkins of Ripon, Connie (Jay) Randall of Modesto, Sherry (Jim) Frazier of Waterford and John (Teri) Millsap of Denair; grandchildren, Staci King, Stephanie (Jared) Bylsma, Nicole (Bo) Ecker, Jimmy Frazier, Trent and Blayke Millsap; and great-grandchildren, Andrew McClung, Grant, Greg and Garret Ecker.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lavinia Palmer.
