November 27, 1922 – February 2, 2009
Its is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Laura Shipley on February 2, 2009, ending a six year battle with Alzheimer’s. Gratefully in her presence were her husband of 35 years, Paul, and her children, Dianna, Mike and Bob Dulaney. As we mourn, we also pause to remember the unconditional love and acceptance that she extended to all. Her kindness and generous spirit are examples for all to follow.

Several of her hobbies included needlepoint, cross-stitch, beading and she had a life long love of music. Laura had a passion for traveling. She and Paul spent their honeymoon traveling Europe, Venice, Rome, Italy, France, Spain, to name a few. They spent 8 weeks traveling, covering 10,000 miles, and 14 countries. This was just the beginning for them, she and Paul, traveled the US three times covering a total of 47 states, not including trips to Mexico and Canada. Together, they spent their life traveling from coast to coast, and wore out three motor homes.
