Leola P. Swafford
January 1925 – February 5, 2009

Leola Gordon Swafford ~84, of Turlock, passed away at her home on Thursday. Mrs. Swafford, spent her early years in the Santa Cruz area, and her jr. high and high school years in the Turlock Area. She returned to Santa Cruz with her husband, Ty Swafford and stayed there until 1988 when they both returned to Turlock and settled in, for the remainder of there lives, her husband Ty, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Swafford was a homemaker, who loved gardening, fishing, reading and in her later years, laughing through life with her best friend, Arlene Lazarotti of Santa Cruz. One of her greatest joys in life was volunteering in the Osborn Elementary School, mentoring program.

Mrs. Swafford is survived by her son Patrick Swafford of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and grandchildren Elizabeth, Meredith and Sterling. Allen Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements, no public services will be held. Memorial contributions are preferred, to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th st, Washington DC 20006-3517.
