March 1924 - March 2009
84 years, 11 months, 26 days

Harold was born in 1924 in Rector, AR to parents, Norval “Bud” and Gladys Wadlington. His family moved to California in 1936. He and his two brothers helped their father in the construction business while growing up in Modesto. As a young man, Harold was baptized into the Church of Christ. He remained a member all of his life, and served as an Elder for many years at the Turlock Church of Christ. While a teenager, he met the love of his life, the former Maxine Reddell, and they married in 1942, after several years of courting.

In the early 1950’s, Harold obtained his contractor’s license, building
homes in the Central Valley. In 1958, he moved his family to Turlock where he owned and operated Wadlington’s Cabinet Shop, with his wife working alongside of him. In 1970, Harold took courses at U.C.L.A. to obtain a teaching certificate, which enabled him to teach Mill & Cabinetry at the Northern California Youth Authority in Stockton. He retired in 1983.

Harold‘s hobbies included making wood ducks, fiddling, fishing, camping,
boating, and working on his computer. He enjoyed making and sending cards to
friends & family. He especially loved the Lord and his family, which includes
four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. This wonderful man will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maxine; his two daughters, Joan Stucky of Thayer, MO and Jeannie Jensen of Turlock, CA; four grandchildren, Jami Dick of Modesto, Marni Dick of Long Barn, Randy Jensen and Kelli Baldwin both of Turlock.

A visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Tuesday, March 10 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be at Turlock Church of Christ on Wednesday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery in Modesto.
