Identity of Lewis Street Homicide Victim Released

TURLOCK, CA – During the morning hours of 03/10/09 the Turlock Police Department received a telephone call/tip leading them to 440 Lewis St. regarding a shooting that had occurred. Upon arrival Turlock Police Officers discovered a single deceased gunshot victim inside. Several firearms and some narcotics were also located in the residence. The occupants of the residence were not present and up to this point have not come forward.
 
We are attempting to identify the residents of 440 Lewis St. and speak with them regarding the incident. During the course of the investigation the police were able to determine that the incident was not a random act. The deceased male has been identified and was known not to be a resident of the home. It is believed he was in the company of other persons at the time of the shooting. (Any information regarding the identity of the deceased subject will have to be released by the Coroner’s Office)

Stanislaus County Coroner Update 03/11/09
 
Stanislaus County coroner officials reported that Isaias Fierros, 37 of Winton, was the man shot and killed at a Turlock home on Lewis Street.
 
The circumstances around this homicide are still being investigated.

Homicide – 400 Block Lewis
 
On March 10, 2009, at approximately 5:30 A.M. Turlock Police Department responded to a 911 call in the 400 block of Lewis Street regarding a man shot. Officers arrived on scene and found a male inside deceased. There were no other victims found at this time.
 
Turlock Police Department Investigations Unit is on scene conducting its investigation. The preliminary information available at this time is that a single deceased Hispanic male victim has been located inside the residence. The circumstances around this homicide are still being investigated.
