Mark Chesnutt is “Going through the BigT” and we do mean Turlock for the 2009 Stanislaus County Fair.
Mark Chesnutt will perform, Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009, at the Stanislaus County Fair and will appear on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage at 8:30 p.m. This concert is hosted by KAT COUNTRY 103.3 and is free with the price of Fair admission.
“Mark Chesnutt has a traditional classic country sound” said Pennie Rorex, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “His memorable hits will keep fair guests’ toes tapping. We are happy to have such an amazing performer bringing his talent to our stage.”
Mark Chesnutt has a classic country singer’s story, starting in the honky-tonks of Texas singing covers of classic country singers to develop his authentic country style. It was this style that made him one of Billboard’s Ten Most Played Radio Artists of the ‘90s, as well as garnering him four platinum albums, five gold albums, CMA Horizon Award Winner with 14 number one singles and 23 Top 10 Singles. Chesnutt still maintains a hefty tour schedule because performing on stage is what he loves to do most. Mark’s memorable hits include “Bubba Shot The Jukebox,” “Going Through The Big D,” “Old Flames Have New Names,” and “It Sure Is Monday.”
Opening for Mark Chesnutt on Aug. 1 is Trailer Choir, a group of fun loving entertainers who have toured with Toby Keith, performed at the CMA Music Festival and National Finals Rodeo. Their song “Off The Hillbilly Hook” has been featured in the movie Beer For My Horses, and song “Last Man Standing” has been used in a national NASCAR promotion by ESPN and ABC.
