The suspect in Thursday’s Turlock library parking lot carjacking incident was arrested early Friday morning.

Brandon Reilly, 22 of Turlock, was deemed the suspect in the carjacking of a woman’s car at gunpoint.

Turlock Police got some leads that put them in contact with Reilly’s friends. The police then sent a text from a friend of the suspect’s phone asking him to meet up at the corner of Olive Ave. and Canal Dr. at 1:30am on Friday.

Brandon Reilly was captured by police when he showed up to the meeting place.

Reilly was charged with carjacking, vehicle theft, and parole violation. Reilly was in prison just two days prior to the carjacking.

The stolen vehicle was found and recovered in an alley by Turlock High School 45 minutes later.
