Currently the number-one preschool show on commercial television, Dora the Explorer is a play-along, animated adventure series starring Dora, a seven-year-old Latina heroine whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world filled with jungles, beaches and rainforests. Dora explores her world just as preschoolers do everyday, and the show is designed to actively engage its audience in an interactive quest using a variety of learning techniques.
The animated preschool show Go Diego, Go!,a spin-off from Dora the Explorer features eight-year-old Diego, a bilingual animal rescuer and nature expert who has the ability to talk to animals, takes adventurous journeys inspired by the rich environments of Latin America and by the animals that make their homes in those habitats. In each episode, Diego and his friends encourage kids to use scientific thinking and investigative strategies to help animals in trouble.
