Second Juvenile Arrested as Suspect in Carjacking

UPDATE 06/19/09:
60 Year Old Woman Beaten/Carjacked
1100 Block of Tuolumne
 
 
On June 19, 2009 at approximately 0815 hours the outstanding Juvenile Black male Juvenile wanted for Carjacking, false imprisonment and battery with serious bodily injury of a 60 year old female foster care employee, has been apprehended in Fresno by Fresno Probation.
 
Fresno probation was alerted to his location by tips from family members and was able to locate him this morning and take him into custody without incident. He will be brought back to Stanislaus County for prosecution.
 
 
UPDATE 06/17/09:

On June 17, 2009 at approximately 11:20am the Hispanic male Juvenile wanted for Carjacking, false imprisonment and battery with serious bodily injury of a 60 year old female foster care employee, has been apprehended in Fresno.
 
The victim vehicle was also located in Fresno. The second Black male Juvenile is still outstanding.
 
The Turlock Police Department is an active participant in the Crime Stoppers Program. Callers can leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at (209) 521-4636 and may be eligible for a cash reward.
 
This information is being released by Turlock Police Sergeant Nino Amirfar.
 
 
Initial Report:
 
On Monday, June 15, 2009, at approximately 2317 hours, Turlock Police Department responded to the report of a woman down in the 1100 Block of Tuolumne. A 60 year old woman, who works at a juvenile placement facility in the 1100 Block of Tuolumne, was attacked by two juveniles temporarily placed with the residential program.
 
The victim was working at the facility when the two suspects bound and assaulted her. Demands were made for the keys to the facility’s van, but the victim did not have access to the vehicle. When the keys were not located, the suspects took the victim’s own keys. The suspects made off with the victim’s car, leaving the victim behind.
 
The victim’s car and the two suspects, ages 16yrs and 17yrs, are still at large. The victim made contact at a neighbor’s residence, asking them to call 911. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was treated for bruises, abrasions and a broken rib. She was released from the hospital after treatment.
The two suspects were acquaintances in Fresno County, where both lived with their respective families, prior to being placed at the residential facility. Their residences of record were checked by Fresno authorities, but neither the suspects nor the victim’s vehicle had been located as of the time of this release.
 
The victim’s vehicle: 2003 black Chevrolet Malibu, #5CWX069. The vehicle has tinted back and side windows.
 
The suspects’ identities are being withheld because they are juveniles.
 
The two suspects are wanted for carjacking, felony battery (causing serious bodily injury) and False Imprisonment (all felonies).
 
The Turlock Police Department is an active participant in the Crime Stoppers Program.
