The City Council will meet as the Redevelopment Agency while hosting a RDA Workshop on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 7:00pm to discuss the 2010-2014 Implementation Housing Production Plan.
This workshop portion of the RDA Meeting will allow the Agency Board, staff and public to have discussion regarding the potential projects, program focus and content of the Implementation and Housing Production Plan.
The workshop will include informational reports from city staff regarding an RDA Introduction, Plan and Housing Project Discussion, Non-Housing Actions, Discussion of Financial Outlook, and Potential Projects for Inclusion in the Implementation Plan.
Interesting discussion could take place as everyone in attendance may speak on potential project prioritization, funding, and RDA financing assumptions.
While the State of California looks to raid cities of their RDA funds, Turlock’s share of funds taken through 2011 could be around $4 million.
There will be no action taken regarding projects and funding allocation during this meeting.
Input from the RDA Board and community will help staff prepare for a tentatively scheduled November 10, 2009 public hearing for the Turlock RDA at 7:00pm.
The state requires that Turlock must adopt a Five-year Implementation and Housing Production Plan by December 31, 2009.
