Volunteers (Adults and Youth) are needed on Saturday, November 14, to help build the Turlock BMX Bike Park.
On Saturday, from 8:00am to 2:30pm, volunteers are needed to help put up fencing, dig mow strips, cut out grass for sidewalks, move dirt for jumps, and of course help form the dirt jumps.
If you have a shovel, rake, or wheelbarrow then bring it!
It is reported that the City of Turlock is looking for someone to donate a bobcat that one of their workers can drive.
Photographers and videographers are needed to help document the projects completion.
Maybe someone willing to donate lunch would be nice too.
The football field sized grass pad with be transformed into a dream dirt jump area, enclosed by fencing, and surrounded by palm trees and other landscaping.
Volunteers should contact DJ Fransen at 209-678-7759 or dj@turlockcitynews.com.
Update:
Holt Cat Rental donated the use of a bobcat for Saturday.
Parks, Recreation, and Community Commissioner Desiree Silva is bringing donuts at 8:00am.
