Recollections of snow in Turlock reaches back to the late 80’s or early 90’s.
Snow falls in Turlock, California approximately once every decade. In this old photograph found in the California State University, Stanislaus. University Library Special Collections, it appears the snowfall of 1910-1911 was heavy enough to create a snowwoman. On the left is Claude Shafer and the man on the right is Nels Hultberg. It is believed they are standing next to the home of Nels Hultberg.
