
“When you listen to The Beach Boys, you remember your youth and summer fun,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “They are a timeless band with timeless hits and will rock the Fair with excitement. This will be quite a concert for Fair guests.”
Since their debut 40 years ago, the Beach Boys have had countless hits and albums which have changed the musical landscape profoundly for future rock and pop acts. Their hits include “Surfin,” “California Girls” and “Good Vibrations” which was voted by Rolling Stone as the number one song for the century. Their latest Capital Records release, “Sounds of Summer,” has sold over 2 million copies gaining the RIAA certified double platinum recognition, proving these surfer guys still have their groove.
The 2010 Stanislaus County Fair opens Friday, July 16 for a 10-day run.
