On February 13, 2010 Camp Taylor is having its annual Dinner & Auction to raise funds and awareness for valley children with heart disease.
The Millerick family from Turlock is actively involved with the Camp Taylor organization and their company, Millerick Engineering, Inc. is one of the main event sponsors for the annual fundraiser dinner.
The director of Camp Taylor, Kimberlie Gamino, asked Chris and Ciara Millerick’s son Ethan to speak during the “Valentine Hearts” dinner last year.
Ethan Millerick has multiple cardiac conditions collectively known as Shone’s Complex. Ethan has undergone several surgeries and has had to visit a hospital many times now.
A great article at modbee.com/ spotlighted our fellow Turlocker Ethan and his strong will.
If you are interested in attending this event it is Saturday February 13, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at The Double Tree Hotel in Modesto California.
Tickets are $70 and it is a formal event and need to be purchased ASAP.
Ciara asks that if anyone is interested in attending or making a donation to please contact her at (209) 985-2221.
“We understand that economic times are tough,” said Ciara Millerick. “But the need for our program and requests from other heart families is increasing.”
Monetary donations or items provided that can be used in the auction would be greatly appreciated.
If you know anyone who would be interested in attending this event or making a donation, please feel free to pass this information on.
If you know of a child who has heart disease, please direct them to the Camp Taylor website:
