Charles “Chuck” Wilson, 86, of Turlock, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Liberty, South Carolina and lived most of his life in Northern California. Charles was happily married to Georgia Wilson for 67 years. They met at a roller skating rink in Pismo Beach, CA and married in Turlock. He served with the US Navy during World War II from 1943-1945. He was a truck driver for 40 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 287 in San Jose. Charles and Georgia have been a part of the church family of Calvary Baptist Church in Turlock.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Georgia Wilson and daughters Linda (Troy) Owens of Livermore, CA and Joyce (Odin) Hansen of El Dorado Hills, CA. He was known as Grandpa “Chuck” to Desiree Cortez, Troy Owens, Michael Owens, and Tiffany (Paul) Henderson. He also leaves four great grandchildren: Anthony, Corbin, Jack and Halle. He was also a proud great-great grandfather to Sofera and Serenity. Charles is also survived by his brother Melvin Wilson of Turlock, CA. He will be greatly missed.
