Larry Arvice Biscamp, 63, of Berkeley passed away April 2010. He was born in San Augustine, Texas April 1946.
Larry is survived by his loving mother Lorraine Lindsay, sons Robert (Aimee), and Brenden, grandson Louis, brother frank, sisters Doris and Lois, nieces Donna and Nicole and his great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dillard Biscamp and his stepfather Richard Lindsay.
At three years old he was paralyzed in a car accident, Larry did not let this slow him down. He found many ways to live life to the fullest. He was a family man, an outdoorsman, a counselor and a friend to all. He was also a proponent of rights for the disabled. He was a co-founder of California Center for Independent Living. This group helped lead the way for accessibility for the disabled throughout our Nation.
A Private Graveside Service will be held Friday, April 30th at 1:00pm at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Fresno, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Emanuel, 825 Delbon Ave, Turlock, CA 95382 or a charity of your choice.
