The Yosemite Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is pleased to be accepting nominations for its new Youth in Philanthropy Awards.
The awardees will be honored at the AFP 50th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon on Thursday, June 3, 2010.
Victor Mitre, of Turlock’s Medic Alert Foundation, is reaching out to the Turlock area for youth nominations and wanted to note the deadline to submit nominations is May 14, 2010. Don’t delay… nominate an outstanding youth today!
YOSEMITE CHAPTER OUTSTANDING YOUTH IN PHILANTHROPY
This award will be presented to selected young people that have demonstrated outstanding service through fundraising, volunteerism, or selfless acts done for the betterment of others. The recipient serves as a role model for other youth, promoting philanthropy and encouraging community involvement among young people.
Completeness of information is essential for consideration. Honorees will be selected by a third party panel. Honorees must reside within the AFP Yosemite Chapter boundaries (Stanislaus, Merced, San Joaquin, Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties). Because of timing, late entries will not be accepted.
Presentation of Awards
The honorees selected will receive their awards at the AFP 50th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon on Thursday, June 3rd. Honorees attendance at awards ceremony not necessary (due to school) but highly encouraged.
