“Aloha! The community of Turlock, California, has a dream…” is an introduction to a press release announcing a community effort to bring Trader Joe’s to Turlock.
There has been word around town of people wanting to campaign bringing Trader Joe’s to Turlock for years and has slowly been materializing.
One of the first movements in organizing community support for a campaign was found on facebook.com where a “Bring Trader Joe’s to Turlock, CA!” group was formed and administered by Nellie Lazar.
Just recently Axel Gomez had www.bringtraderjoes.com created to come up in internet search results, provide information on the campaign, link to the request Trader Joe’s location form, and allow visitors to interact in the campaign to bring Trader Joe’s to Turlock.
Join the “Bring Trader Joes to Turlock” campaign this Saturday, May 22nd, at 1pm at the Trader Joe’s parking lot in Modesto. This is the inaugural kick-off for the group of more than 800 strong on-line future customers in Turlock, California, urging Trader Joe’s to open shop in Turlock.
Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt and you’ll be welcomed with a lei. They also want to hear your favorite Trader Joe’s story.
Shop along with other Turlock residents as they make their voices heard …”we need a Trader Joe’s in Turlock!” All residents and media are invited and encouraged to come and show their enthusiasm for a Turlock store.
