A large fire is believed to have started at a pallet yard located at 110 1st Street on Monday at around 4:00pm. Three businesses became involved in the fire that spread to a nearby electrical business’s vehicles parked out back at 110 D Street and then to a neighboring truck storage parking area where diesel truck trailers caught fire.
According to Turlock Police Sergeant Nino Amirfar, at the time of the incident, 90 percent of the Turlock Police Department, along with all police volunteers, all Fire personnel, mutual aid from Turlock, Denair, and Keyes Rural Fire Departments were on scene working on securing the area and putting out the fire.
The fire was officially under control just after 6:00pm.
No known cause or injuries have been reported as of late Monday.
