For seventeen years, the Garden Party served as the premier fundraising event for the arts in Turlock. It was discontinued last year. However, it is back! It is also the start of a new tradition, as it will be the first event hosted by the Carnegie Arts Center Foundation since it assumed full responsibility for the operation of the Carnegie Arts Center. Construction began on the new center in May and is scheduled for completion Summer 2011!
The Garden Party guests will enjoy fine art, live music, wine, hors d’ oeuvres from Turlock’s finest restaurants and a community of supporters celebrating a New Carnegie Arts Center, all amid the lush setting of The Greenery in historic downtown Turlock.
Three galleries located throughout The Greenery will feature original works of art available for purchase by attendees. Live jazz will accompany the free-flowing conversation of guests. Terrific merchandise, novel gifts, fine art and more from our best local merchants and artisans are some of the great deals that will be available in the evening’s spirited silent auction.
George Schumacher, Jay De Graff and all the staff of The Greenery join the Carnegie Arts Center Foundation in welcoming everyone to this celebration. Proceeds will provide support for operations, planning and programming for Turlock’s future premiere regional arts center.
