Kick off the holiday season with your ticket to ride at the Festival of Trees Gala and Auction benefitting Hospice of Emanuel.
Reservations to attend the elegant December 4 event are now being taken and the deadline to RSVP is November 16. The Festival of Trees Gala and Auction is the major fundraiser for Hospice of Emanuel.
“Festival of Trees is one of the signature events in Turlock every year and the unofficial start of the holiday season,” said Shirley Pok, Emanuel’s vice president of development. “Our theme this year is ‘Beatles Tribute – Ticket to Ride,’ and it is going to be a great ride.”
No Beatles tribute would be complete without a tribute band, so performing at the gala will be Sacramento-based “Because: A Tribute to the Beatles.” The program includes a pre-party at 5 p.m. with wine, champagne, hors d’oeuvres and a chance to meet the band members, dinner at 7 p.m. catered by Hilmar Cheese Catering Company and featuring wines from Gallo Family Vineyards and dancing from 9:30 p.m. until midnight.
There will also be a silent auction throughout the evening and an exciting live auction after dinner for a variety of valuable items and experiences. In addition, guests will have the option to purchase tickets for the drawing of a dazzling 14-karat white gold, three-row diamond band worth nearly $6,000 and a pair of 14-karat white gold diamond hoop earrings worth $2,200. The exquisite pieces are donated by Geiger’s Fine Jewelry of Turlock.
The black-tie-preferred event will be held at the Assyrian American Civic Club in Turlock, and valet parking will be provided. Seating is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
All proceeds – ticket sales, sponsorships, auction purchases, wine sales, live tree sales, jewelry ticket purchases – go directly to Hospice of Emanuel. Platinum sponsors of the benefit are Event Extravagant Group, Inc., Hilmar Cheese Company and Hilmar Lumber Inc.
