The Turlock Planning Commission Meeting Agenda on Thursday, December 2, 2010 has an item of recommendation to the City Council concerning the regulation of discount superstores in the City of Turlock.

The Turlock Planning Commission had to postpone the discount superstore public comment and discussion at the November 4, 2010 meeting because the agenda item of a proposed family entertainment center with 34 bowling lanes and much more took the meeting past 11pm.

On December 2nd at 7pm at City Hall, the Turlock Planning Commission will take public comment and provide direction to staff on the action the City Council should take concerning the ordinance regulating “Discount Superstores.” Staff will review the options that have been provided, as well as background data that led up to the City’s adoption of the original prohibition on “Discount Superstores.”

The Planning Commission may also recommend that the City Council make no change in its current ordinance regulating “Discount Superstores.”

The Planning Commission will either make a recommendation to the City Council on options for regulating “Discount Superstores” or make a recommendation to make no change.
