The Modesto Area A’s, a chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America, has sponsored the event since 1965. The event first started in the McHenry Shopping Center in Modesto and outgrew the space after the first year. The Turlock Swap Meet title was given when the event moved to the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds in 1966.
Dave Hansen from the Modesto Area A’s has already reported that once again this year, vendor spaces are sold out and will be reserved for next year at this year’s swap meet.
Cars for sale spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. Beginning Friday, the day before the Turlock Swap Meet, cars will be staged starting at around 9am. Visit the Turlock Swap Meet website for more information.
For everyone attending, the Turlock Swap Meet will take place on January 29/30, 2011 at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds located at 900 N. Broadways Avenue, Turlock. The Turlock Swap Meet will be open from 7am to 5pm on Saturday and 7am to 3pm on Sunday. Admission is $8 at the gate, children 12 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
