The Turlock Historical Society is pleased to announce that an Exhibit entitled “Radio Legends” will be on display at the Museum from February 14 to April 30, 2011. The exhibit contains significant vintage equipment, antique radios and historical information about the people and events involved in the development of radio technology.
The Society is grateful to eight collectors and members of the Central Valley Chapter of the California Historical Radio Society for providing the interesting and educational display.
The non-profit radio society’s goal is to share this valuable history with Museum visitors and increase awareness about the need to preserve radio history. They are asking for the public’s help in locating artifacts, memorabilia and verbal accounts relating to local radio history. Interested persons can visit the Central Valley Chapter’s website, www.cvantiqueradio.com or contact Richard Lane at 209-605-0290.
The Turlock Historical Society Museum is located at 108 S. Center Street in historic downtown Turlock. The Museum is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00am to 3:00pm and on Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Admission is free to the general public.
