Turlock Historical Society Annual Meeting: Election of Directors and Program Speaker on Ceramics

The Turlock Historical Society invites its members and the general public to the Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 7:00pm at Berg Hall in Covenant Village of Turlock, located at 2125 N. Olive Avenue.

The election for Turlock Historical Society Board Members and Officers will be conducted at the Annual Meeting. Nominations may be made from the floor and will be included in the election process, along with the Board approved slate of nominees.

 
The Society’s Annual Meeting Program will be “Ceramics:  Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow” given by Guest Speaker Charles Wickwire (B.S. in Ceramic Engineering  at New York State College of Ceramics).
 
The Society’s guest speaker was raised in Corning, New York, the glass manufacturing center of the United States. He has had an extensive career in Porcelain Enamel and Plumbing Fixture manufacturing. His career took him to Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Southern California and Chile, all the while, introducing him to many changes and innovations in the industry.
 
The Turlock Historical Society Meeting is free to the public and light refreshments will be served.
