The Turlock Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast Committee is excited to announce that baseball great, Brian Holman, will be the keynote speaker for this year’s event. Brian is among the elite few major league pitchers to have pitched a near-perfect game. His message will touch your heart as he shares how he and his wife, with Gods help, overcame adversity: forced retirement from baseball due to unsuccessful shoulder surgeries, their 9-year old son’s fall from a chairlift while skiing, the discovery of their son’s brain tumor and their adopted daughter’s courageous battle against leukemia.

The breakfast will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2011, the National Day of Prayer, at the Larsa Banquet Hall, 2107 E. Monte Vista Avenue at 6:45am. Tickets are $20 each.

The Turlock Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast began in 1994 as a result of various Christian groups wanting to come together and pray for our local, state and national leaders on The National Day of Prayer. Past speakers have included Dave Dravecky, Michael Reagan and Lt. Col. Oliver North.

Tickets can be purchased in Turlock at Family Bible Center, Geiger’s Fine Jewelers, and The Salvation Army.
