Identity of 4 Year Old Killed in Car Collision Released, Memorial Fund Established

The Stanislaus County coroner released the identity of the 4 year old boy who was killed in a three car collision as Deagan Moody. The collision occurred on Monday at Bradbury Road and S. Walnut Road.

 
According to the California Highway Patrol report, Deagan was killed when his mother, Melissa Moody, 28 of Turlock, rear-ended a stopped vehicle and then spun into the front of passing traffic where her Mini Cooper was broadsided. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
 
Deagan’s mother, Melissa, and his 2 year old sister, Emry Moody, were both were flown by helicopters to separate hospitals with major injuries. Emry was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento and Melissa was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
 
A Deagan Moody memorial fund has been established at F&M Bank, account #0557614801, to collect donations for the family who lost their 4 year old boy, has a 2 year old girl in the hospital with major injuries, and a mother also in the hospital with major injuries.
