Wednesday night’s Valley Stock Tractor Pullers arena event at the Stanislaus County Fair was called to a halt when Loy Riddle, of Waterford, was caught under the pull sled of a tractor, weighing over 30,000 pounds.
The sold out arena event was scheduled to start at 6:30pm and at 7pm Loy Riddle was caught and trapped under the pull sled.
"There are still no details yet as to how the accident occurred," reported Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair.
“Our main concern was to assure the injured participant was receiving prompt necessary medical treatment,” said Alkhas. “An emergency helicopter was flown in to transport him to a nearest hospital.”
According to Fair officials, Riddle suffered injuries that appeared be non-life-threatening with a compound fracture to the leg.
Alkhas said that Loy Riddle appears to be stable and in good condition as of today.
