Back to school is just around the corner, and the Turlock Seventh-day Adventist Church wants to help make your child’s switch back a little easier.
The Church wants to help kids in the community in need by distributing backpacks with schools supplies, shoes, and socks, but they are asking for some help.
They are asking for any donations for their cause, especially backpacks, pencil bags/boxes, erasers, and miscellaneous items.
The Church will be distributing and collecting the school items on Sunday, July 31 in conjunction with a Community Outreach Day to be held from 10am to 4pm.
On Sunday, they will be offering physicals, eye exams, and the like to kids in the community who may otherwise not have access to these types of services.
Vendors will also be at the Outreach Day to distribute educational information that is geared towards children.
In addition to school supplies, the Turlock SDA Church will be accepting gift cards for children’s shoes and socks and monetary donations.
The gift cards and monetary donations can be mailed to The Turlock SDA Church address: 2400 North Olive Ave, Turlock, CA 95382
Donations can be dropped off at 2400 N. Olive Avenue, Turlock, CA 95382
