An event commemorating the 10th year anniversary of 9/11 will be held this year at the Turlock Fire Department Station 1.
The event will be held Sunday, September 11 beginning at 8:46am, to coincide with the time that the first plane struck the first building on 9/11.
The keynote speaker will be John McParland, who has spent 25 years with the Oakland Fire Department, involved with emergency resource responses including Hurricane Katrina.
Captain Rob Jackson credited Chief Gary Carlson, Lieutenant Ron Reid, and community member Don Jeffreys, for all of the hard work they put into the event.
“I’m sure it will turn out to be a wonderful event, and I encourage everyone to be there if they can,” said Captain Jackson.
The event will be held at the Turlock Fire Department Station 1, located at 540 East Marshall Street, at 8:46am on September 11, 2011.
