For nineteen years, the Garden Party served as the premier fundraising event for the arts in Turlock. This year’s Garden Party is very special as it caps a weeklong celebration of the September 10, 2011, grand opening of the new Carnegie Arts Center!
The event began being hosted by the Carnegie Arts Center Foundation since last year when it assumed full responsibility for the operation of the Carnegie Arts Center.
The Foundation wants to preserve the best of past traditions as they look forward to the future and to creating new ones. People are invited to celebrate the old and the new at the 2011 Garden Party!
Garden Party guests will enjoy fine art, music, wine, selections of choice cuisine from the region’sfinest restaurants and a community of supporters celebrating the grand opening of the new Carnegie Arts Center; all amid the lush setting of The Greenery in historic downtown Turlock.
Three galleries located throughout The Greenery will feature original works of art available for purchase by attendees. Music will accompany the free-flowing conversation of guests. Terrific merchandise, novel gifts, fine art and more from our best local merchants and artisans are some of the great deals that will be available in the evening’s spirited silent auction.
This year the Garden Party will be the culmination of a week of Carnegie Arts Center Grand Opening events! The Garden Party will take place Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at The Greenery.
Tickets are $50 per person ($40 of which is tax-deductible) and will be available for pickup at the will call table. Tickets are available via Paypal from the website, www.carnegieartsturlock.org.
All proceeds support the Foundation’s operation of our premier regional arts center.
The Carnegie Arts Center Foundation is calling for art entries and seeking anyone intereseted in donating silent auction items or service.
The deadline for art entries to the 2011 Garden Party at the Greenery Nursery Art Exhibit has been extended to September 1, 2011. If you thought you were too late, they hope you will reconsider your participation and join the celebration.
The entry fee of $5 per piece or a Garden Party ticket of $50 which includes entry fees can be paid on the Carnegie website. The Artist Information Sheet and Artist Entry Form are also available there.
