Turlock Police responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 5:25am on October 22, 2011, at the 600 block of Chestnut Street. Upon arrival on scene, two victims of gunshot wounds were located and transported to area hospitals. The victims were a male adult and a male minor. The injuries were non-life threatening.
The gunshot victims’ identities have not been released.
Turlock Police Detectives learned that the incident began as a verbal argument and it is unknown at this time if it is gang related.
Detectives have identified Manuel Maldonado Jr., 19 of Turlock, as the suspect. He is wanted for attempted murder and is considered armed and dangerous.
