Turlock’s representative in Congress, Congressman Jeff Denham (R), is hosting a town hall meeting in Salida on Monday, January 30th. Representative Denham will discuss the President’s State of the Union Address, his hopes for the next session of Congress, job creation in the Valley, as well as take part in a discussion with constituents about their concerns for the community.
Rep. Denham is currently representing the 19th Congressional District of California, which includes Turlock, and will be running for 2012 re-election in the newly drawn 10th Congressional District (created during a redistricting process) that will also include Turlock.
“I am holding a town hall meeting at the Salida library on January 30th and hope you will come join me to continue our conversations,” states Rep. Denham in his newsletter. “Until then, as the next session of Congress begins, I have created a survey on my website to learn more about all of you, the issues that are important to you, and be better able to serve the valley.”
The Denham Town Hall Meeting in Salida will be open to the public and held at the Nick W. Blom Salida Regional Library, located at 4835 Sisk Road, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
Congressman Denham also has a Mobile District Office in Turlock where his staff members are on hand to assist constituents with questions and issues related to federal agencies and programs, including Social Security, Medicare, the IRS, Veterans Affairs, and Home-Loan Modifications.
The Denham Mobile District Office is located in the Turlock Chamber of Commerce (115 S. Golden State Blvd.) on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 10am – 11:30am.
