Country-pop Atlantic recording artist, Uncle Kracker, will be bringing his “Hometown Tour” to the Stanislaus County Fair.
The 2012 Stanislaus County Fair welcomes Uncle Kracker on Friday, July 20, 2012, on the Free Stage at 8:30pm. The concert will be free with the price of Fair admission.
Uncle Kracker tops country and pop charts with hits like “Smile” and “Good To Be Me.” Uncle Kracker crossed over to become a singer-songwriter’s first solo Top 5 hit at country radio. His sales were some of 2010’s most successful, exceeding 2 million single sales.
“Uncle Kracker’s music is irresistible and impressive,” says Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Fair, “His stage presence and talent amaze audiences everywhere, and we feel very fortunate to have him on board for 2012.”
Uncle Kracker was first known as DJ in Kid Rock’s Twisted Brown Tucker Band, and made his first solo debut in 2001 with the hit “Double Wide.” He also collaborated with Kid Rock on some of his biggest hits including, “Bawitdaba,” “Cowboy,” “Forever,” “Only God Knows Why,” and the # 1 classic “All Summer Long.”
Uncle Kracker has also performed with well known country sensation, Kenny Chesney, on the duet “When The Sun Goes Down,” which topped out at #1 and is becoming a country-pop cross-over classic. His most recent release from 2009’s “Happy Hour” featured the hit, “Smile” which peaked at #2 on the Hot AC chart and has become a featured song on VH1 Top 20 Countdown.
The 2012 Stanislaus County Fair opens Friday, July 13th for a 10-day run. Fair guests can count on an award-winning experience that has been over 100 years in the making. Discounted Fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands and Arena event tickets will be on sale beginning Saturday, May 5th.
