The College of the Arts Department of Theatre at California State University, Stanislaus is proud to present The Comedy of Errors.
The Comedy of Errors is Shakespeare’s furiously paced comedy staged as a sidesplitting 1960s variety show. Separated at birth, two sets of long-lost twins are loose in the same town. Mistaken identities make for hilarious complications: servants are sent on wrong errands, jewelry is given to the wrong person, and husbands are locked out of their own homes.
The ensuing medley of romance and comic chaos is produced under the masterful direction of Chicago-based guest director Daniel Gately, who returns to the “Shakespeare Under the Stars” event for the second year.
The event will take place May 1st – May 6th at the CSU Stanislaus Ampitheatre. Tickets are $5 for general admission and parking is free in Lot 3. Tickets are subject to availability and available at the box office (667-3166) or online at http://www.csustan.edu/shakespeare.
