This Saturday, May 12th, the 7th Annual Taste of Turlock event will be taking place at downtown Turlock. The Turlock Downtown Properties Owners Association hosts the event each year.
The event will run from 11am to 5pm, and is sure to be flooded with hundreds of visitors eager to sample various restaurants and caterers delicious food samples. Beer and wine tasting will also be included. The event this year will have an extra emphasis on food this year, with vendors also selling cookware, cookbooks, table and kitchen linens, tableware, and more.
This year’s event returns the focus to FOOD! Visi-tors from previous years stated they enjoyed visiting the tasting booths and the downtown shopping experience more than other activities. While in previous years, visitors were given wristbands upon the purchase of a ticket, this year’s event will function a bit differently.
Tickets will be sold for $1 a ticket, allowing all visitors to taste food and beverages while also allowing vendors flexibility in what they would like to offer as samples.
Food samples from vendors will be sold individually at each booth, typically ranging from $1-$2. The more expensive or the larger samples, the higher the price. This allows visitors to have more control over what they choose to sample as well.
The event will also feature ongoing entertainment throughout the day, including a variety of bands and vocalists, geared toward the whole family.
The festivities will be taking place on Main Street, from Lander to Palm. Tickets are available for purchase at the Turlock Downtown Properties Owners Association at 300 E. Main Street, or at the event.
