Twenty-four year Turlock Police veteran, Steve Williams, has been promoted from Lieutenant to Captain in the Turlock Police Department.
The Turlock Police Department proudly announced Captain Williams after a promotion ceremony took place at the War Memorial on Monday, July 2, 2012. Captain Williams was accompanied by his wife Donna Williams, their three children, esteemed family and friends.
Captain Williams began his twenty-four career with Turlock Police Department as a Police Explorer in 1988. In the last 24 years, Captain Williams, through hard work and dedication, has climbed up the promotional ladder, becoming Corporal in 2001, Sergeant in 2006, and Lieutenant in 2008. Captain Williams is a former member of the Turlock Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT), a Canine Handler, and Field Training Officer. Through the years, Captain Williams has many commendations and awards, including being named Officer of the Year in 2004.
“Captain Williams’ dedication and professionalism merits his promotion,” stated a Turlock Police Department press release. “We are very proud of him as an individual and as a member of the Turlock Police Department.”
