The Fair welcomes guests for the opening day of the Stanislaus County Fair tomorrow, July 13th at 5pm. The fun has just begun. The Fair is offering numerous ways to save at the Fair this year. Guests named Jason, in honor of Friday the 13th, can get in the Fair for free opening night with valid identification. If guests want to test their luck, they can be one of the first 1,000 guests in line to receive a fortune cookie that may or may not contain a free adult admission ticket. On opening night only the Fair is offering $1 rides.
The Modesto Bee is sponsoring Opening Night at the Fair and is offering $2 off (1) adult admission ticket for bringing in (2) can food items benefiting United Samaritans. They are also giving away gifts for the first 1,000 fair guests.
If guests have Fair food or vendors on their minds, guests can pick up a free Fair Savings Coupon Book at participating FoodMaxx stores for great discounts on delicious food and vendor items.

The Destruction Derby I, Traditional Turmoil, will take place at 6:30 pm in the Arena. Arena tickets are sold in addition to Fair admission and can be purchased at the www.stancofair.com website or at the Fair box office located at 900 N. Broadway, Turlock.

The 2012 Fair will feature the highly popular Rainforest Adventure, along with the Rainforest Animal Shows sponsored by Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital. Also planned for 2012 are nine nights of metal-mashing motorsports plus one night of rodeo in the Arena, a total of four stages of live entertainment, upwards of 30,000 local exhibits and over 1,750 animals.
