The Stanislaus County Business Empowerment Forum will be held on Wednesday in Turlock where special invited guests Congressman Jeff Denham, Senator Anthony Cannella, and Assemblywoman Kirstin Olsen will discuss pressing issues affecting local and state economies with attendees. The free public event is sponsored by the California Prosperity Project and the Alliance for Affordable Services.

Turlock Mayor John Lazar will be the MC for the event; however, the panel moderator will be a guest from Washington, D.C.  Stanislaus County Supervisor Vito Chiesa will also be in attendance.

Alliance clarifies on its website that the forum is not a fundraiser or campaign speech for any of the elected officials, but rather an opportunity for people to ask questions and get information regarding legislative issues that could impact them, their families, and local small businesses.

The small business forum will be held at Latif’s Restaurant, located 111 N. Golden State Boulevard, from 8am to 10am. Free coffee and pastries will be available for those attending the event. Those attending may also purchase breakfast to eat during the forum.

For more information, please contact the Turlock Chamber of Commerce at 209-632-2221.
