Election Day – November 6, 2012

Today, November 6, 2012, is Election Day. Many people around the nation will be casting their vote for who they believe should be President of the United States of America. Voter turnout is expected to be higher due to the General Election ballot that includes Presidential Candidates. However, Turlock citizens will cast their votes for two government offices that directly affect them, two Turlock City Council seats. Also, offices such as State Assembly, Congress, US Senator, and many widely debated State propositions will be voted on today.

Polls will be open from 7am until 8pm on Today. The Vote by Mail Ballot must be received in the Stanislaus County Registrar of Voters office no later than 8pm on Election Day. Postmarks do not count.

If voters have not mailed in their ballot yet, they may still return the Vote by Mail Ballot in person to the Stanislaus County Registrar of Voters office on or before Election Day, or to any polling place in Stanislaus County, however, this must be done before 8pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

Polling places are provided on the sample ballots that were sent to voters earlier in October, although Election Offices may also provide the locations on their websites, as according to the voters address.

Information from the Stanislaus County Election Office can be obtained by calling (209) 525-5200 or visiting www.stanvote.com.
