The Stanislaus County Fair has been recognized yet again for its outstanding social marketing efforts.

On Wednesday, the Stanislaus County Fair was announced as a finalist in Twitter: Marketing Campaign category of the PR News Social Media Icon Awards.

“I am very proud of our marketing team at the Fair who are always thinking outside the box,” said Chris Borovansky, CEO of the Stanislaus County Fair. “To be a finalist is an honor and I will be sending our Marketing Director to New York for the ceremony.”

The Stanislaus County Fairgrounds' “Imagine the Fun” campaign was chosen by PR News as one of the top contenders for the Twitter: Marketing Campaign category. The Stanislaus County Fair is up against elite organizations and companies for the award, such as American Airlines, the National Geographic Channel, and Intersport.

The PR News Social Media Icon Awards will be held on April 17 at the Grand Hyatt in New York City. The luncheon will include keynote speaker Jonathan Perelman, VP of agency strategy and development for BuzzFeed. Perelman previously served as Google’s global lead for industry relations.

Adrenna Alkhas currently serves as the Marketing and Communications Director for the Stanislaus County Fair, and will attend the award ceremony in New York.

As a leading public relations publication, PR News is well known nationwide within the marketing industry. The publication is also used as a strategic resource and a training tool for many marketing and public relations organizations and departments.

PR News currently has nine prestigious award programs that recognize the best and most creative marketing talent within the industries of public relations and communications all across the nation..

The 2013 Stanislaus County Fair opens July 12 for a ten day run. Discounted fair admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands and season passes will go on sale beginning May 4.
