The Turlock City Arts Commission's annual Spring Juried Art Show is just around the corner.
On Thursday, commissioners will hammer out the details of the yearly art show, which allows submissions from all local artists but shows only the finest works.
Last year's 30th Annual Spring Juried Art Show hung at the newly-opened Carrnegie Arts Center for the first time. That show ran from April 11 through June 10.
This year's show will likely begin on the first of May, with submissions due in the end of April.
On Thursday, the Turlock City Arts Commission is also expected to:
• Hear an update from Commissioner Lakneshia Diaz on a mural project planned for Columbia Park. The project will see the installation of a new handball wall, funded through public fundraising, which will then become home to a mural.
• Discuss a list of past, present, and future projects as the commission plans for the year ahead.
The Turlock City Arts Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Yosemite Room of Turlock City Hall, 156 S. Broadway.
