Award-winning country music band Gloriana will play at the Stanislaus County Fair this year.
The Nashville-based group's self-titled 2009 debut album reached number 2 on the Billboard Country Album charts, and number 3 among all albums. The album's hit single, “Wild at Heart,” hit number 15 on country charts, and 53 overall.
That early success led to the group winning an American Music Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2009, an Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Vocal Group in 2010, and a 2009 CMT Music Award “Nationwide Is On Your Side” award, which honors the best CMT-exclusive performance of the year.
The trio's 2012 follow-up album “A Thousand Miles Left Behind,” spawned their first Top 10 country hit, “(Kissed You) Good Night.” The song peaked at number 2 on the country charts, and also reached the number 34 on pop charts. Additionally, Gloriana performed the song on television show “The Bachelorette.”
In total, Gloriana has six top 40 country hits, with other hits like “Can't Shake You,” “Wanna Take You Home,” “The World Is Ours Tonight,” and “How Far Do You Wanna Go?”
Gloriana will play the Stanislaus County Fair at 8:30 p.m. July 20, on the Budweiser Variety Free Stage. The concert is hosted by KAT Country 103, and is free with the price of fair admission.
The 2013 Stanislaus County Fair opens July 12 for a 10-day run. Discounted admission tickets, unlimited ride wristbands, and the Fair season pass will go on sale beginning May 4.
